An Afternoon at the Farm

 Every Fall we like to take an afternoon outing to our favorite local farm. We love that they have a very large petting zoo.

Reflections Art Contest

I posted last month about Aubrey entering some projects in the Reflections Art Contest.

The award ceremony was later in the month and Aubrey won two awards! She was sooooooo excited!

For her 3d Diorama of her first day of Kindergarten she won a trophy and her project has moved onto the city level competition.

 

 

For her drawing of Jumpin' Jellyfish, she won a Medal (Honorable Mention).

Aubrey walked around with her trophy and medal all day. Her teacher made a big deal of it in class which made her feel special. Then she wandered around the house with her awards. She still will ask people who come over if they'd like to see her trophy and medal. Too cute!

There are many things that I love about my Aubrey Kaye. One of the things is that she has great big ideas and is not afraid to work hard to achieve them. I am so proud of my creative and hard working Aubrey. And it was so fun to see her be rewarded for her efforts!

Halloween Fun

 I love Halloween and the vast amount of activities there are to participate in!

One evening while my parents were in town we visited a local shopping center that had a fun Halloween event.

First the girls played pumpkin bowling.

Then these cuties decorated a giant Jack-O-Lantern.

Primary Program

 Aubrey was very excited when the Primary President called and asked if she would give a talk in the Primary Sacrament Program. Aubrey LOVES to give talks and has been dying to give a talk in Sacrament Meeting.

The night before we had used curl formers in her hair. Her hair looked so darling. Here she is so excited for the Primary Program!

 We took a video at home of her giving her memorized talk.

She did such a good job. She was so poised. She talked right in the mic. and spoke slowly and clearly. I was so proud of my little Aubs!

I used the curl formers in Brooke's hair too and it turned out absolutely adorable!!

My Birthday

 My girls love birthdays and love to make birthday parties (I don't know who they picked that up from!)

The morning of my birthday Aubrey and I had a practice for the Primary Program. That afternoon we went as a family to see Brave. Then on the way home we picked up Cafe Rio for Dinner. The girls had picked out some party dinner ware and even had daddy help them wrap it up for me.

After our yummy dinner we opened presents  that they picked out with Daddy.

They loved the Tiara's we made last year, so they bought them again this year to make.

Then we played some party games. 

We had to play pin the gem on the Tiara!

Then they sang me Happy Birthday and we had cupcakes.

I love the fun little parties that my girls throw for me. And I'm grateful for Jeff going along with them and helping them put it all together. Birthdays are so much fun!
