Fun with Beckham

The girls were thrilled last week when Aunt Summer invited us over to hang out with Beckham

They love holding their new cousin!

Grandma's are the snuggliest!

Brooke's such a little mommy.

Beckham was very alert while we were there. It could be because the girls were making a lot more noise then he was used to!

I love the look on Aubrey's face. Too sweet.

Week 6

I lost 1 pound this week. They say a healthy weight loss is 1-2 lbs per week, so I guess I should be satisfied with how I am doing.

* I'm still finding it very hard to eat small meals every 3 hours. I am not at home very much, so it's just been really challenging.

* I have not been feeling well this week (female troubles) and so my workouts have been pretty pathetic. I think I worked out almost every day, but I usually only got about half of the workouts done a day.

* Today I was able to wear a pair of shorts that have been too small for the last couple of years. I was happy about that.

I'm hoping that this week I'll feel better and be able to do my workouts in their entirety. I think in a couple of weeks we will be back to a normal schedule. I do say that every week, I realize, but I think by next month things will settle down. I'm hoping August will be an awesome weight loss month for me.

We LOVE the Library

We just love the Summer programs at our local library.

The girls have enjoyed participating in the Summer reading program - and they get to turn their chart in for a prize next week!

They LOVE craft time. And have made some really fun things.

Here they are making flags.

Even Grandma got to come with us one week!

My little patriotic cutie!

Then we pick out some books to check out.

Then head outside for story time and a picnic. (All Fall & Winter last year Aubrey kept asking when they were going to have outside story time again.)

This was another craft the girls loved from the Library. Little finger puppets that they got to cut out the clothing and glue it on. Here Brooke is giving her doll some chap stick!

Aubrey's doll that she did entirely on her own.

Last week Aubrey got to use model magic clay and sculpt a little bobble-head doll. I only helped her with the neck - the rest she did all on her own. I thought her little guy turned out so cute! She was especially proud of him!

I'm sad the Summer programs are winding down. We sure are going to miss them!

Picnic in the Canyon

The girls are loving having Grandma & Grandpa here.

One evening they took us to the canyon for a little picnic. The girls were real excited!

My attempt to get a cute picture was an utter failure!

My little sliders!

Two little monkeys!

They LOVED drawing in the sand!

Baby Beckham

Right as we were finishing up with Isla's pictures (see last post) we got a fun phone call!

My newest nephew Beckham Hyde Carlile was born on Tuesday, July 5th at 5:40 (ish) pm.
He was 8 lbs 4 oz and 20 inches long.

He is just a darling little guy.

Congrats Summer & Steve!

These little girls were so excited to see their new cousin!

Aubrey holding Beckham.

Brooke holding Beckham.

When we got there, Summer was actually in a lot of pain. So, we left after a few minutes so she didn't have to have too much of an audience.

We went back the next afternoon and Summer was feeling much better. Beckham however had just had his circumcision and was not too happy. Poor guy.

Summer fed him and got him to sleep and we got to see cute little sleeping Beckham.

Doesn't Summer look awesome for just having a baby less then 24 hours before.

The whole Carlile family.

My girls blowing Beckham kisses.

We're so happy to have another healthy little baby in the family!
