Christmas Fun, Family Visitors & Christmas Eve

When Grandma & Grandpa came to town we went and saw the drive through lights display.

Then Elliot, Katie & Tori got here. Here's Aubrey giving her lots of loves.

Tori Clause.

Brookie giving Tori loves.

Now it's time to decorate cookies.

The best way to do it is to smoother the cookie with frosting and sprinkles.

Yummy!

Then the Carlile clan got here. The girls had fun playing with Beckham.

The kid table at dinner. Don't let the picture fool you, I think the toddlers only remained in their spot for the minute that I took the picture!

Aubrey loves to take care of little ones. Beckham liked her feeding him!

Getting goody bags ready to play elves at a local Nursing Home.

My elves are all ready to spread some Christmas Cheer.

They had a blast singing songs and handing out goody bags.

Several days before Christmas Eve, Aubrey wrote out a Nativity play script (including songs) and got together costumes. Look who decided to play baby Jesus.

The cute little angel telling Mary and Joseph they were going to have a baby.

Sophie loved the manger!

The shepherds.

The shepherds going to see baby Jesus.

Hugs for Sophie!

Grandma makes a good star.

The wise man bringing gifts.

After the play my girls got to open one gift.

Aubrey was super excited to get a Dream Light!

Brookie loved the princess play doh from Aubrey.

Getting a treat for Santa and his Reindeer.

Santa's a lucky one!

Putting baby Jesus in the manger that we were filling with hay all month. (Every time anyone did something kind they could put a piece of hay/yarn in the manger. We wanted to make it soft for baby Jesus to lay in on Christmas Eve.)

Snowman, Temple Square and Nativity

The girls get excited for the first snow every year that's big enough to build a snowman with Daddy. (My California girl self leaves it up to the Canadian to be the snowman builder!)

Our Winter was so cold this year it lasted almost all winter long!

We took our yearly trip up to Temple Square to see the Christmas lights and Nativity. Boy was it cold! I was glad I had put the girls in their full snow suits.

Cute little sisters.

The whole family.

The girls painted water color Nativities at an art class and I thought they were so cute.

Aubrey's Kindergarten Christmas Program

In mid-December Aubrey had a Kindergarten Christmas program. They learned several songs and memorized poems. Aubrey had been singing and rehearsing them to us all month. Her favorite songs they sang were, "I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas", "Chocolate in my Stocking", and "Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer."

Here she is all dressed up and ready for the program.

Singing her little heart out.

Look at all those Kindergartners.

Finding some friends who aren't in her class after the Program.

These two are so cute together.

Aubrey and her teacher that she just loved!

Here's a couple of videos from her program.

It's fun getting to do all the school stuff for the first time!

Gingerbread Houses

I always loved the Christmas tradition of making gingerbread houses as a kid and now I love to watch my girls enjoy the same tradition. They could decorate for hours on end! Really what's better than handing kids a bag of icing and several bowls of bright candies and letting them be as creative and messy as they want to be! (Plus they don't complain about the sampling!)

Here's pics from our last Christmas Gingerbread House making.

My girls have the icing bag technique down pretty good!

The Attridge's joined in the fun too!

Ta Da - look at my house!

Here's Aubrey's beautiful creation!

Aubrey and Brooke Christmas Dance Concert 2012

I've gotten so far behind on my blog that this post is from the girls Christmas Dance Concert last year. I figured since I was having a do nothing sick day, I'd least do something productive that took very little energy!

Here are my little cutie dancers before the show!

The whole family right before the show began!

Aubrey loves watching the show almost as much as performing in it!

Super excited to see the Attridge clan!

Cute Brookie takes the stage!

Now Aubrey takes the stage. I love how she smiled and performed this time!

Taking their final bows.

The girls love getting flowers from Daddy after the show!

I love watching my cute little dancers!
