Surprise Dad!

After many years of working in local government (City and County) my Dad retired on Thursday - June 30th.

He left that afternoon to come and be with the majority of his kids. Then on Saturday afternoon we had a surprise party for him.

We all split up the party planning. My main contribution was the invitation and the cake.

It was my first attempt at a masculine cake and I was pleased with it.

 We had a yummy steak, chicken and fish lunch - thanks to my Mom.

 

Isla was once again the hit with my girls.

 

 Since Brooke couldn't reach her face she was kissing her little feet.

Cindy put together a Larry Bagley Jeopardy game.

At his last Board of Supervisors meeting they recognized him and said lots of nice things about him and his work. You can watch it here. (His recognition is at the beginning of the meeting. Each member of the board said something nice about him after he was awarded with his plaques.)
