One of my favorite things about the Fall here is all of the Festivals/pumpkin patches/corn mazes. There is so much to do!
We got to go to the biggest one the last weekend of September. It's usually pretty costly, but a friend told me about a way to get discount tickets on opening weekend. So we've done that the last 2 years. It's seriously awesome and has tons of stuff to do!
First the girls braved the gunny sack slide.
Then we headed over to the princess village and the girls dressed up. Here they are headed to the royal ball in their princess carriage.
They decided to give a little show on the stage.
Here they are doing the "Hoedown Throwdown".
Swingin' away.
Jumpin' in the bouncy house.
Playing store in the little market.
I had to pull them away from this little store - they were lovin' it.
Jumpin' on the big pillows.
Aubrey was selected to help cheer on a pig in the pig races.
She got a pig nose for a prize.
Brooke was sad she wasn't chosen, but at least she got to pose with the pig nose.
Brooke saw the creature and wanted to go in - Aubrey did not want to go in. We either had to all do it or none of us do it. I've gone in a few times before and it was totally harmless. Just dark with strobe lights and heart beat sounds. I convinced Aubrey that it wasn't scary. She was afraid something would jump out at her, but I assured her that nothing would jump out. I lead them through the thing and they were pretty nervous. We turned a corner and a mechanical monster sprung out at us with a huge scary sound. The girls screamed for what seemed like forever and then ran for the nearest emergency exit.
This is how they looked when they came out. Poor things. I feel bad that something did jump out and I told them it wouldn't. Luckily they recovered quickly because there was lots more fun to be had.
Train ride time.
All three of us.
Shootin' hoops. She was thrilled every time she got a basket.
Brooke had fun throwing the balls too.
Ropin' the bulls.
More bounce houses.
Posing for some fun pictures.
Bean bag toss. The girls decided it was better when they stood on the hay stacks.
Cow train ride.
The kiddie corn maze was really cute. There were spinning wheels with random actions to do until you reached the next spinning wheel. We had fun spinning the wheels and doing the actions. Thanks to Brooke we actually finally got out of the maze!
Playin' in the corn house. The girls had fun covering each other with corn. We are still finding random pieces of corn in our house!
Duck races.
Posing with the great big corn cob man on our way out the gate.
We played for 4 hours and had a blast! What an awesome place to have a little Fall Fun!
